Polaris’s swivel cushion is designed for use on car seats or for general swivelling. It can help to reduce back strain when entering the vehicle. When entering the vehicle the user sits on the swivel cushion, feet still on the ground, then turns easily or is assisted to turn, into the vehicle. The process is reversed when leaving the car. It is also useful for general swivelling procedures. For example it may be used, under supervision, on the edge of a bed to assist the patient getting on or off. It consists of 2 comfortable cushions, which are held together by a unique swivel. It incorporates a non-slip base to stabilise it on the seat and non-friction material on sliding surfaces for ease of turning.
